Cailin
Meet Cailin, our typical newfie. After about a year with a nice calm newfie and an old labrador named Ben, we decided to have one more newfie (Be warned they are infectious!!) We met a couple through Viv (the crazy one), and in November we were invited down to Anne and Bob Merrick's house in Sheffield to see their new litter of 10 puppies. They were only 3 weeks old and so calm and peaceful. We couldn't wait to go back in another 5 weeks to pick up our new arrival. We had the pick of all the black bitches and decided on the noisiest one as it had lots of spirit. By the time we were about an hour up the road I think we had given her about 100 rows for being naughty. This continued. She stole washing off the line, anything that wasn't nailed down belonged to her. Bark, boy could she bark and still does especially at the water when she is waiting impatiently for her turn. Having said all that she is a lovely girl who is so placid and friendly to everyone she meets, it's hard to stay annoyed with her for long.
